We've been best friends since we were kids. While our paths took us to different corners of tech, Ryan spent a decade at Apple leading Agent Systems for Siri, and Clay built ML algorithms at Amazon for five years. We always knew we'd build something together.

The idea for Lumio came from our friend Taylor, who's spent over 10 years in self-storage running acquisitions at Red Dot Storage and founding Storage Exchange. He kept telling us about the same problem: operators were drowning in calls, paying fortunes for hold time, and scaling headcount instead of technology. The call center model was broken, and nobody was fixing it. Taylor joined us to lead sales.

At an SSA conference, we met Alex Auger. Alex brings eight years of self-storage operational experience spanning Argus Professional Storage Management. He leads customer success at Lumio, making sure every operator actually gets results.
